The Commonwealth Development Group was brought on board to oversee the design and construction of the Nashville Music City Center, a 2.3 million square foot facility that was opened in 2013. The MCC is a Gold LEED, state-of-the-art facility on a 19-acre site located in the heart of downtown Nashville, Tn.

The top of the MCC features a 175,000 square foot “Green Roof” designed to mimic the rolling hills of Tennessee. The roof is a sustainable feature that helps provide insulation for the building, utilizes storm water in a more efficient manner, and is home to several hives to support the bee population. This roof is the largest green roof in the Southeast.
