Planning
Every great project starts with good planning, using the owners’ thoughts as the driver. The planning phase is really where CDG brings its greatest value to the owner. Every project is different and our firms history of completing numerous unique projects allows us to approach this phase with a different way of thinking. At this point we can assist the owner with finding and analyzing a location(s) for their idea, provide insight on their ideas to create early conceptual visuals, and help strategize a funding & phasing plan for the project/development.

Creating the Team
Our history of creating, managing and completing success projects comes from compiling a group of profession a firms to assist with designing, testing and constructing primary elements of a development. This concept of management is what we refer to as the Three Leg Stool approach, with the Architect led design & engineering team, Construction Manager and Geotechnical Engineer, each being one of the legs with CDG serving as the “seat” bringing all those firms together to manage the project. These firms are typically selected by going through an owner involved RFQ (Request for Qualification) process.

Project Management
The traditional approach to designing, pricing and building a project is just that – design, bid & build. Our concept is a hybrid in nature where we start with conceptual design and pair that with preliminary pricing from the Construction Managers. Along with using the Geotechnical Engineers to provided early information to assist with future design development and a next generations of pricing. This cohesive style of design helps save the owner time and money so they do not pay for a design that turns up over budget, just to pay for re-designing and re-pricing. Continued team collaboration managed by CDG has proved its effectiveness and results in the successful execution of the owner idea.
